Amman, Nov. 5 (Petra) Prime Minister Nader Dahabi said his government would renew its decision to guarantee the safety of deposits in banks operating in the Kingdom till the end of 2010. Dahabi announced the decision in a meeting on Wednesday with bankers and CEOs of lending institutions at the Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ). The Prime Minister affirmed that this decision stems from the government's responsibility towards national economy and asserts the government's confidence in the performance of the banks operating in Jordan. The government took a similar decision a year ago that guaranteed the safety of deposits in banks operating in Jordan till the end of 2009. //Petra// R Q//
