Dr. Waleed Mustafa Al-Qasrawi currently assumes the position of Director General at Jordan Deposit Insurance Corporation (JODIC) since September 1, 2025, It is worth noting, that Dr. Al-Qasrawi has had an extensive experience at the banking sector through his working at the Central Bank of Jordan where he served in many positions started from the Banking Supervision Department in 1990, the Financial Stability Dept. in 2013, contributing to its establishment, at the end of the year 2016 he was assigned to establish the financial consumer protection department, where he was using the best international practices leading the department to be one of the most distinguished at the Arab region. After that he moved to work at the Money Exchange Supervision Dept. in 2023. 

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Al-Qasrawi appointment as an Director General of JODIC’s comes within the framework of getting benefit from his long experience to apply the FSAP recommendations, and formed the regulatory framework and processing procedures for banks, as well as establishing supervisory activity at JODIC.

During his tenure at the CBJ, he served on various specialized committees as a chairman, such as the Technical Committee of the King Abdullah II Award for Excellence, where the Central Bank won first place among the top ministries and institutions which participated at the award. He also chaired the Technical Committee for Crisis Management, through which the Crisis Management Guide was prepared, which was acclaimed by international parties such as the International Monetary Fund. In addition, he participated in the preparation of a group of instructions and projects at the CBJ, in which the most important was the instruction of "Basel III".

Dr. AL-Qasrawi received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Yarmouk University in 1986, then a master’s degree in banking from Bangor University in 1990, and in 2009 he received his PhD in banking from Loughborough University in the UK.
