Acting Director of the Communications and Media Unit

The Communications and Media Unit is responsible for raising public awareness of the deposit insurance system, developing a comprehensive public awareness plan, implementing the approved communications policy and plan, and coordinating relations with parties within the banking protection network. In particular, it performs the following functions:

1-Preparing and implementing a comprehensive crisis communication policy and plan, and implementing it following approval by the Board, to ensure the timely flow of accurate official information to the public, reassure depositors, and counter rumors during the pre-crisis, crisis, and post-crisis phases.

2-Continuously raising public awareness among depositors through the development and implementation of a comprehensive communication program.

3-Overseeing the website and approved social media platforms, as well as the content published on them, and ensuring that content is continuously updated.

4-Overseeing the printing and distribution of promotional materials and advertisements, and managing relations with newspapers and the media.
